Terminator Genisys

Cynematic 3^rd attempt to abort brilliant franchise nearly succeeds by mechanically tampering with original storyline. Arnold proves just how horrifying being back can be while a pair Clarkes can’t convey Connors convincingly. Inexplicable temporal geography loses characters and viewers alike, and leaves only the wish to go back two hours.

Suicide Squad

DC Dozen’s editing, writing, music and tone are more schizophrenic than its ‘characters’ allegedly are. Redundant flashbacks, irrelevant exposition and illogical plotting send silly ‘story’ swan-diving into vat of tapioca puddin’. Smith wills his way through by reverting to fresh quips while others struggle to escape from completely contrived characterization.

Unbroken

It’s hard to break the back of a spineless story. Though Zamporini’s tale is heroic and incredible, the cinematic rendition is disjointed and poorly paced with several compelling cast-members going MIA midway.  Decent cinematography and sincere acting fail to rescue this heartfelt effort from the endless shelling of war-film clichés.
