Warcraft


Can’t slam Duncan hard enough, as this time he overshoots the moon big time. Source could be to blame for heavy-handed exposition and mediocre storyline, but dark magic must be at fault for the awful CG. New additions to D&D character canon include heroin-withdrawn soldier, seasick half-orc and constipated foster-wizard.

Source Code

Gyllenhaal’s video game vantage point, again and again and again. Jones moon’s us again, and again he satisfies. Sure there are some plot holes to be ignored. But then, maybe if viewed 50 times they start to make sense. Regardless, it’s a fun ride, albeit not for the other passengers.

Moon

David Bowie’s son directs this sublime psychological sci-fi flick that shoots for the moon and lands incredible performance(s) from star, Sam Rockwell. Reminiscent of Solaris and 2001, but only in the best possible ways. A strong story saves the film from subpar special effects; not for fans of Michael Bay.
