Set longer than long time ago, this space spectacle successfully stands alone. An appropriate amount of camp and coolness lend further fuel to a film that doles up the right ratio of references to revelations and, ‘trust’y tropes aside, manages to maintain tension despite obvious direction and less obvious directors.

Me Before You

Morally gray tale casts Clarke as mother of draggin’ Sam around and candycoats 50 Shades’ message that naïve women can overcome obstacles to love rich handsome men. Cutesy rom-com antics amount to nothing, for once one’s Bond days are done, love, sex, riches and family just aren’t worth living for.

Terminator Genisys

Cynematic 3^rd attempt to abort brilliant franchise nearly succeeds by mechanically tampering with original storyline. Arnold proves just how horrifying being back can be while a pair Clarkes can’t convey Connors convincingly. Inexplicable temporal geography loses characters and viewers alike, and leaves only the wish to go back two hours.
