Despite Zemeckis characteristic overindulgence in visual
effects, Mr. Smith Goes to Europe is an old-fashioned, conventional tail of
intrigue. Tragically mis-represented by commercial double-agents, the twists
are spoiled and the plot consequently sabotaged. Pitt is predictably at home in
glorious fashion and Cotillard keeps the emotions real despite all lies.

Nerve
After a run-in with mistruths, the Catfish guys succeeded
again… if they were dared to make a film that follows neither common sense nor
its own logic. Somehow they struck a nerve and still racked up viewers, perhaps
due to the flashy look, successfully and ironically substituting style for
content.
