The Forest

Murky backstory drives schizophrenic actress into the Japanese forest of clichés, where she attracts another white person before going totally gaga and falling victim to an obvious ending. Unlike its imbecilic protagonist, film never leaves its predictable path, and despite a couple of well-executed jump scares, fails to ensnare audience.
