Amy approaches this tale with her typical bluntness and
sincerity, then sells out in the third act. When she gives up her alcohol and
weed, the film gives up its voice and credibility. Hader, Larson and a slew of
supporting comedians are under-utilized while Lebron scores a surprising slam
dunk.

No Escape
White-washed Wilson and Bell escape from their comedic
trappings and lend remarkable credibility to their terrified characters. Another anecdote about Americans in trouble,
manages to maintain tension amidst realistic turmoil, at least until Brosnan
pierces the fabric of film’s reality and ruins the tone with his smarmy action
hero conspirator.
